Did You Watch The Nascar Awards Online

Well, I started to. I tuned in at the appropriate time only to find it was the typical preview crap I know most of us hate. I'm not going to bash Nascar but maybe if they said when the awards were to start we might find something else to do in that first hour. I saw the clock in the background of the ballroom and tuned in to what had to be the worst awards show I have ever seen. The acts were terrible with the exception of those chicks playing those electronic fiddles, and that's only cause I liked looking at them and yes they played to long. You should always leave your audience wanting more. As I watched Kasey Kahne try to read from a tele-promter I knew it was going to be a long night. How I longed for the days back when they read from their own words written on a piece of paper. The corporate world is taking the human factor away. I turned it off Friday night due in part to the late start. What were they thinking? Did they really expect people to stay up until 1.00am and watch? So I turned back and forth on the Sunday repeat tuning in to those who I wanted to see. It was great to Mark Martin and Rick Hendrik come across with a real human factor and not lines written for them. OK, although I'm not really a Jimmie Johnson fan you can't deny what he has accomplished. So in conclusion just a few lines. Did the Nascar Awards suck? Yes very much so. Then again just like the rest of us out there, I can't wait for Daytona. JR    For those who can't be there
